The new technique enhancing your natural beauty by Karine Freeman of MicroArts
What is Microblading?
Microblading, also known as microstroking, is an advanced brow embroidery technique whereby a superfine row of needles is used to create thin, hair like marks on the skin, which last up to 12 months. Microblading is performed by manually depositing pigment superficially in the upper region of the dermis with the use of a hand tool with attached needles fused together in a linear grouping.
Microblading FAQ
How long does it take to do?
Investing 1-2 hours of your time is all you need. Our expert artist, Karine Freeman, has been mastering microblading for years and takes her time with each and every client until they love the shape of their brow. Karine will consult with you before microblading and she will help shape your brows to your liking. We include a free follow up appointment where we can touch up if necessary. This can take up to 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on how much we need to touch up.
Is it painful?
We take every precaution necessary to ensure the application is as pain free as possible. We use a medical grade topical numbing cream which we will apply 30 minutes before your actual appointment. It’s best to arrive early so the numbing cream can set in and work as best as possible. Most clients do not experience pain.
Can I return to work and normal activities after?
Yes, however you will be sore and/or red for a few short hours afterwards. No major downtime is required.
What do I do after the microblading?
We will supply you with antibiotic ointment you will apply twice daily. You should keep the area dry and not expose your face in the shower or bath for at least 48 hours.
Why are my eyebrows are so dark after microblading?
This is totally normal because the ink is fresh and setting in. Over the next days, this will fade and the pigment will change color. This happens to every single client. Not to worry!
